Boneal Names Director
of Business Development

MEANS, Kentucky - Mr. Jeffrey B. Compton has been named Director of Business Development for Boneal Incorporated by President David Ledford.

Since 1996, Mr. Compton worked as Director of Services for Associated Industries of Kentucky. His duties included development and enhancement of AIK marketing, member services and monitoring state and federal legislative activities.

Prior to joining Associated Industries of Kentucky, Mr. Compton served over five years in a variety of roles at software developer, DataBeam Corporation, now a division of Lotus/IBM. At DataBeam, he assisted company founder and current University of Kentucky president, Dr. Lee Todd with external communication and customer support activities.

Mr. Compton also served six years as a field representative on the staff of former U.S. Representative Larry J. Hopkins. During his tenure, he coordinated military, agricultural and small business casework. Additionally, he coordinated district military academy nominations and was involved with equine and agricultural issues.

While in college, Mr. Compton was on the staff of Cabinet Secretary William B. Sturgill at the Kentucky Department of Energy. In this role he developed a distillers by-products marketing campaign for bourbon and ethanol producers.

Mr. Compton is a graduate of Russell High School in Greenup County and an alumnus of the University of Kentucky - College of Agriculture.
