West Point graduate, military
veteran joins Boneal Team

MEANS, KY- Boneal President David Ledford is pleased to announce the addition of John H. Karaus, Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) as Vice President - Government Contracts for Boneal Incorporated. 

Mr. Karaus holds a BS Engineering degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a Master of Military Arts and Science (MMAS)  in Operations, Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, as well as a BS Math degree from Morehead State University.

Mr. Karaus served 22 years in the U.S. Army in a progression of combat leadership, operations, planning and command positions primarily in the 101st Airborne and 1st Infantry Divisions.  He served in Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Kosovo, Bosnia and as Chief of Plans and Brigade Operations Officer during assignment in Germany.  Most recently, he served as Professor of Military Science at Morehead State University.

Mr. Karaus’ awards and decorations include:  Senior Aviator Badge, Parachute Badge, Air Assault Badge, Bronze Star, Air Medal (2nd Award), Meritorious Service Medal (4th Award), Army Commendation Medal, and Campaign Medals for Southwest Asia, Bosnia, and Kosovo.
