Boneal is an active member. Council meets quarterly to review faculty activities and respond to request pertaining to long-range goals and objectives as stated in the department's mission statement.

Board of Directors - Industrial Education and Technology/Morehead State University.

Boneal has served as a Director on Morehead State University’s, Department of Industrial Education and Technology Advisory Board for the past several years. Boneal’s participation on this advisory board provided Morehead State University assistance with procuring other businesses and industries to serves on this board. In addition the creation of this advisory board was instrumental for the Department of Education and Technology to be recognized and receive national accreditation.

Morehead State University Office for Business and Industry

Upon a proposal from Boneal, Inc. to develop a collaboration addressing the needs of business and industry, Morehead State University established an Office for Business and Industry Programs which would link with Kentucky’s High Education Reform movement to develop stronger ties with postsecondary institutions and the private sector business and industry needs.

Co-director WEST-21 Women in Engineering, Science and Technology for the 21st Century.

Morehead State University’s Departments of Math, Biology and Environmental Sciences submitted an original proposal to the National Science Foundation to establish the program Women Engineers in Science and Technology. Boneal, Inc. was identified as one of the co-directors and provided direct assistance in the preparation of the content and securing of dollars committed by numerous other business and industry groups. Currently the WEST-21 Project remains in process with a planning grant from the NSF.
